School Lunch
A vegetarian diet is a core part of the Trust’s offering, and in our ethos statement we stress the importance of compassion for other living beings and an awareness of our ecological impact on the world. Students are therefore encouraged to adopt conscientious and balanced lifestyles, underpinned by a sense of stewardship and an innate reverence for life, nature and the earth’s resources.
Sharing wholesome, freshly cooked lunches together is part of the overall educational and curriculum experience at our school, where children learn about table manners and an appreciation for food. This is essential for developing and enhancing social skills and ensuring that lunch-time is a happy experience. School staff enjoy taking lunch with pupils to create a family atmosphere.
Pupil voice is taken into consideration when developing the termly school lunch menu which consists of international meal options. The school will also take into consideration parents views on school lunches.
