Kartik Khandwala

Kartik Khandwala is Chair of Governors at Avanti House. Kartik works for SAP AG, one of the largest multinational software corporations in the world, and a world leader in enterprise software and software-related services. Kartik is part of SAP’s cloud professional services management team in Europe and leads their partner delivery enablement organisation in the UK & Ireland, Nordics, Benelux, Middle & Eastern Europe and CIS. He has several years of consulting experience working with global Fortune 500 companies on project management, business strategy and software implementation. He holds a B. Eng (Hons) from University of Mumbai and post graduate qualifications in Software Engineering and Project Management.

Nitesh Gor

Nitesh Gor's experience encompasses CEO and director roles across the exploration, management consultancy and investment banking industries. He is a published author (Dharma of Capitalism, Kogan Page 2011) and a contributor to publications such as Forbes. Nitesh has has a broad business strategy background gained as a result of working for two leading corporate strategy consultancies and as an independent advisor to corporate boards. His primary corporate focus is on leadership, strategy and entrepreneurship. Nitesh has an MBA from London Business School and an undergraduate degree from the University of London.

 

Ben Rich

Ben is the Chief Executive of the Movement for Reform Judaism. He served as a trustee of JCoSS, the Jewish Cross Community Secondary School in Barnet, which served as the prototype of parent-promoted schools in the UK. Professionally, he advised the iFoundation on the planning and marketing of schools in Edgware, Leicester and Redbridge, as well as supporting the Sikh communities successful free school application in Birmingham, which has led to the establishment of the Nishkam school there.

 

Fiona Dunckley

Fiona is a Staff Governor at Avanti House. She has been a teacher for 14 years and is currently Head of PE and a member of the school Senior Leadership Team. Fiona studied Secondary Physical Education and English at university and believes in children, first and foremost, developing their confidence through PE and sport to help provide them with the skills to access and enjoy an active lifestyle once they have left school. Fiona has been a county standard athlete, participated at club level in a variety of team sports and currently enjoys kickboxing but she is most passionate about snowboarding. She is an accredited assessor for The Duke of Edinburgh Award and believes that every young person should be able to spend time outdoors whenever possible.

 

Sulabh Agarwal

Sulabh works as a management consultant at Accenture in the financial services sector. At Accenture, he is responsible both for project sales and delivery of strategy and change projects for large banking clients. Prior to Accenture, he used to work for Capital One in the US credit card business and also led the business development activities in Asia. He holds a B.Tech from IIT Delhi and MBA from INSEAD.

 

Ramesh Kapadia

After a distinguished career as one of Her Majesty's Inspectors (Schools) he was appointed as an Honorary Professorial Fellow of the Institute of Education, University of London. He is an accredited Attached Inspector for CfBT, and undertook the inspection of religious studies and collective worship at the Krishna Avanti Primary School. After attending schools in Manchester, he studied at the Universities of Warwick, Oxford and Nottingham, graduating with a 1st class Honours degree in mathematics and being awarded a Ph.D. in mathematical education. His interests include rambling, badminton, theatre and cinema; he has also established a charity to help in the education and training of disadvantaged children and youth in India.

 

Tanuja Saujani

Tanuja is one of the parent governors. She has worked in the field of services to young people for over 20 years in various role from practitioner, project management and now holds a senior management position. She has always chosen positions which stay true to her beliefs: that every young person should have the opportunity to reach their full potential and make a smooth transition to adult life.

 

Bhavana Chauhan

Bhavana Chauhan is a parent governor at Avanti House. She has two children attending the school; one in Reception and the other in Year 7. Bhavana works for Pearson, a leading education company providing educational materials, technologies, assessments and related services to teachers and learners of all ages. She has been with the company for 18 years and is currently a Programme Manager within the Programme Management division. Bhavana holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Queen Mary College (University of London) and professional qualifications in Project and Risk Management.

 

Sanjay Bhandari

Sanjay is the Head of Technology and Operations at a leading training company in the world of Finance. Prior to that Sanjay worked in Investment Banking in London and New York for both Bank of America and Merrill Lynch. He currently consults for some of the world’s leading banks, such as Barclays, RBS and Credit Suisse. Sanjay runs a successful Yoga group called 'Bhaktiyoga' aimed at professionals in London. He was also once a teacher as a part of the London scheme of Teachfirst.
